"San Jon" in Scuol - photo weekend with Fabienne Gassmann from @FrauSternfotografiert
The mountains of the Lower Engadine in Graubünden are so fantastic they make you hold your breath. However, when the snow is deep and lying on the trees, then it is the perfect backdrop for our shooting-weekend on San Jon. San Jon, a large horse farm with approx. 75 horses, is gently nestled on the eastern slopes of the little town "Scuol". Here you can get a taste of the “Western air” as well - in addition to lots of horses, there is also a cozy saloon and a guest house with cozy guest rooms in a Western style.
The horses live outside all year round on a large winter paddock with feeding stalls and two huge open stables and in the meadows in summer. For some horses there are also spacious, airy boxes in a hall with wind protection nets. This is especially perfect for old horses because they can eat in peace and at their own pace and even lie down without youngsters annoying them. During the day they go to the paddocks or the meadows.
We want to photograph horses in this really beautiful mountain setting. We plan portrait, free running, forest, stream, up or down.
Since we have a meeting room available, LR and/or Photoshop training is possible between the shoots. If you are interested, please indicate when registering.
The training courses last 3 hours each on Friday and Saturday and must be paid extra.
These coaching sessions are planned depending on the interest and level of knowledge of the participants. Please calculate around CHF 190.00 or EUR 200.00 extra for 3 hours each.

Our shooting weekend takes place from Januar 9 - 12, 2025. Arrival is on Thursday evening and departure is planned for Sunday morning. So we have 2 full days to take photos.
You can also easily reach Scuol by train and there is a shuttle from Scuol train station to San Jon.
You can use the resulting photos commercially. We ask that you submit 2 photos per shoot, so a total of 8 or max. 10 images for use by San Jon.

Who is Fabienne and why are we doing this together?
Such a trip (and its preparation) is complex and not a Sunday stroll. We simply share the responsibility and the implementation between 2 people - experienced horse photographers and horse photo tour organizers.

This photo weekend costs CHF 750.00 or EUR 786.00.
What is included in the price?
Included are the shoots AND your accommodation for 3 nights in a double room as well as all meals!
Only drinks are extra.
We may even have a single room available for you (at an additional cost).
Also included is your tourist tax of CHF 5.00/day.
